Material procurement

Buyout against the approved drawings, purchase orders written with the right callouts, and mill test reports collected and matched before anyone asks for them.

What this covers

  • Buyout. Take-off reconciled against the approved shop drawings or the advance bill of material, then quoted out to service centers and mills. Compared on delivered cost, not list price, including cut lengths, freight, and mill availability against your sequence.
  • Purchase orders. Written on your accounts, in your name, with the correct ASTM callouts. A992 for wide flange, A572 grade 50, A36 plate, A500 for hollow structural sections, F1554 anchor rods, F3125 high-strength bolts. Material test report requirements stated on the order rather than chased afterward.
  • Mill test reports. Collected on receipt and matched to heat numbers against what actually arrived. Where the contract carries domestic material provisions, the melt-and-manufacture documentation is verified at order, not at inspection.
  • Expediting. Tracked against the dates on the order and against your erection sequence. Late material gets escalated while there is still time to react.
  • Receiving. Packing lists, weight tickets, and shortage or damage claims documented at delivery, when the claim is still good.

Purchase orders are issued on your accounts and in your name. Gusset Group does not buy material, does not hold title to it, and does not take a margin on it.
